Aim |
 |
|
| |
To produce a teaching aid for infant school
children that will assist in the development
of their reading. This will be achieved by
linking together teachers and pupils from
secondary schools and their feeder primary
schools. By working together in small groups
it is envisaged that KS2 and KS3 pupils will
produce a story stack. |

This project will include: |

fostering greater links
between secondary schools and their
feeder primary schools |

giving children access to greater
resources and a wider curriculum |

easing the transition of pupils from
KS2 to KS3 |
 |
promoting literacy in infant schools

 |
production of story stacks –
a story (written by children), a puppet,
a puzzle, fact cards, audio tape, content
card and instruction leaflet and a hand-made
sack designed to reflect its contents

promotion of cross-curricular links
|
