Aim: |
| |
|
| |
The aim of my project is to develop the
use of interactive whiteboards in the teaching
and learning of Mathematics at Key Stage 2.
I believe that the creative use of whiteboard
technologies can engage pupils with differing
styles of learning in Mathematics, which will
therefore increase enthusiasm for and hence
attainment in the subject. |

Success Criteria: |
| |
|
| |
The success criteria for the project are
divided into two categories: |
| |
|
| |
1. Pupil Learning |
| |
|
| |
 |
All pupils in the year
group to be surveyed at the beginning
of the project to establish their perceptions
of the ability in Mathematics. The survey
will be repeated at the end of the project
, the success criteria is for 80% of
the target group to have a more positive
attitude to their perceived ability
|
 |
All pupils in the year group to be
surveyed at the beginning of the project
to establish their attitude to Maths
lessons. At the end of the project,
80% of the target group to react positively
to the use of the whiteboard in maths
lessons |
 |
All pupils to complete optional SATs
before and after the project. 80% of
pupils in the target group to have improved
by 2 or more grades. Eg Level 3C to
level 3A. |
|
| |
|
| |
2. In Service Training |
| |
|
| |
 |
100% of teaching
and support staff to observe the interactive
whiteboard in use in the teaching of
Mathematics. 50% of teaching staff to
use it in their own lessons. |
 |
2 staff meetings
dedicated to the use of the interactive
whiteboard. |
 |
Parent workshop to demonstrate the
interactive board. 25% of parents who
attend to observe in the Maths lesson.
|
 |
Mathematics Advisor and KS2 Numeracy
Consultant to be involved at the beginning
and end of the project. |
|
| |
