  Aim
 
  To produce an information pack or booklet on how to develop school grounds to become a year round resource which reflects and enhances the National Curriculum, mainly at KS1 and KS2.
   
  Description
   
  The content of the resource material will include:
   
 
what kind of areas can be created in school grounds, ranging from a rural to an inner city environment?
ideas and examples of themes that can be achieved (eg historical, geological, fruit and vegetable, herbs, sensory, water, mazes, insects etc)
relation to National Curriculum
advice on creating gardens (with specimen plans)
advice on help from experts, sponsorship, purchasing
examples of tried and tested workable ideas
advice on crops to grow successfully and which will capture children’s curiosity

A comprehensive guide to designing, building and stocking themed gardens, illustrated by pictures of successful projects and providing links to the National Curriculum.
